Harvey Awards nominations announced

The nominees have been announced for the 2007 Harvey Awards, which recognize outstanding work in comics. The winners, who are selected by fellow creators, will be announced Sept. 8 at Baltimore Comic-Con.

The Harvey Awards are named in honor of the late cartoonist and editor Harvey Kurtzman.

Ballots, which can be downloaded at the awards website, are due by Aug. 3. Voting is open to anyone involved in the creation of comics.
